Kai began practicing in 2015, encouraged by the intelligent and inclusive approach of his teacher, Rebecca de Villa. He started assisting in her Mysore program in 2019. That same year, he had the privilege to meet Richard Freeman and Mary Taylor, and has studied with them annually since then, participating in various programs such as their Teachers Intensive in Boulder, silent retreats in Samui, and a nine-month course online with Robert Thurman and Michele Loew.
He has also studied with senior Iyengar teachers who specialise in yoga therapy, and was authorised by Elise Browning Miller as a Yoga for Scoliosis teacher.
After taking more courses in anatomy and kinesiology from various teachers and schools, such as the Laban/Bartenieff Institute of Movement Studies, he eventually decided to pursue a bachelor degree in physiotherapy.
In Sydney, he continues to practice with Eileen Hall, Angelika Knoerzer, and Angelina Whitaker.
In his free time, Kai enjoys going to the beach, watching films, and visiting museums.
