Our spines are the central support structure of our body and an essential element to movement in our everyday life. A healthy spine is an incredible balance of strength and flexibility – of Sthira and Sukha. In this two-hour class, students will follow a sequence of recurring asanas designed to reduce muscle rigidity and increase flexibility.
With a strong focus on stretching and opening the whole front body; the quadriceps, hip flexors, psoas, chest muscles and shoulder joints, while also building strength and power in the legs, arms and back muscles. This energising practice aims to reduce stress while increasing circulation and oxygen levels throughout the body, leaving students with a new feeling of increased vitality.
It is recommended to eat a light meal at least 2 hours before the class and ensure you are well-hydrated to avoid feeling lightheaded or dizzy during the class.
