This fun and active series of classes for teens has been especially developed for the needs of young adults.  Yoga is wonderful for helping teens develop focus, become more centred, develop discipline, improve posture and cope with tensions. They will have fun and have the opportunity to meet others. This course can also be included as part of the Duke of Edinburgh Award.

The 8 week course runs during each school term.

The teenage years are both an exciting and challenging time for many adolescents due to the many changes that are happening as their bodies and brains are rapidly developing.  Yoga is the perfect activity to take them through these years of change with strength, compassion and enhanced self-esteem.

Course contents

  • Learning a dynamic sequence of postures (asanas) to harness energy and dissipate sluggishness
  • Poses to develop strength, flexibility, balance and coordination
  • Learn breathing and meditation techniques to assist in developing skills of mindfulness, focus, attention and reducing reactivity
  • Week 4 and Week 8 dedicated to the practices of breathing and meditation

Our Yoga & Meditation for Teens course can be included as part of the Duke of Edinburgh Award and our highly qualified teacher, Petra, is an Accredited Award Assessor for any student participating in the Awards.
