Kate’s curiosity in Eastern philosophy led her to her first yoga class in 2001. Since then yoga has become part of the fabric of her life having seen profound and far reaching changes in her life from the practice. She completed her three-year apprenticeship with Angelika in 2006 and has been teaching yoga since 2005. The asana practice and philosophy of Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga is her bliss and she practices meditation on most days.

Teaching yoga is her passion and her intention is always that her classes are safe, dynamic, energetic and taught with integrity and humour. She feels a strong commitment to assisting people in striving towards health and wellness through yoga.

Apart from yoga, Kate loves to spend time with her husband, three beautiful boys and their close friends. She is a Registered Nurse and Midwife, has worked as a Graphic Designer and Photographer. Adventure is in her blood having spent long stretches of time in India, Nepal, Thailand.

Kate visits in India regularly to attend yoga workshops and receive Ayurvedic therapy. She has spent time living in Mysore practicing yoga with Sharath Jois. The time in India enriches her teaching & her practice.
