Spanning over 30 years, Charlotte has a varied, open and modern approach to her practice and teaching.
In 1987, after traveling from the UK through India, Southeast Asia and Indonesia, Charlotte was caretaking a business in Byron Bay when she was introduced to the Ashtanga Yoga system through the renowned Deena Kingsberg.
That practice had a profound and lasting effect.
Years later, while living in Bangkok with her husband and young family, she trained to teach Bikram Yoga and then went on to study the Ashtanga Vinyasa method with Adrian Cox, the founder of Bangkok Elements, one of South East Asia’s leading Yoga schools.
Subsequent training was with Lucas Rockwood in Barcelona, the highly regarded Health and Wellness expert and founder of Yogabody Barcelona.
Charlotte is the mother of 25 year old triplets, having brought them up whilst living in Bangkok, Hong Kong, Sydney and London. When they went on to universities in the UK, Charlotte and her husband travelled to Myanmar where she continued teaching in Yangon at Yangon Yoga House and then moved to Vietnam where she taught at Mandala Wellness in Hoh Chi Min City.
Charlotte has made frequent trips to India for meditation and learning and continues her daily practice of the Sahaja Yoga meditation method, pranayama and asana.
She continues to update her practice and teaching under the guidance of Adam Keen, founder of KeenonYoga and here in Sydney, she practices under the tutelage of Eileen Hall at OmHouse Bondi Beach.
Charlotte also practices and holds certificates in Aromatherapy and Deep Tissue Massage.
Charlotte’s Ashtanga classes are informative, inclusive and fun with a focus on anatomical alignment. Her teaching style encourages resourcefulness, independence, kindness and depth.
