Indulge in the beautiful practice of Pranayama – the control and release of the breath. Feel the empowering and cleansing effects of these ancient YOGIC techniques.

Gain clarity, focus, and a deeper understanding of the meaning of ‘Prana’.

We will be practicing some basic Pranayama techniques. You will be encouraged to introduce these practices into your regular routine, and guidelines will be given as to how to incorporate them.

On Sunday morning 7.30am kriyas or cleansing techniques will be introduced, i.e. Uddiyana Bandha, Agni Sara, Kapalabhati, and the use of the neti pot.

We aim to internally purify ourselves, and keep our organs, blood, lymphatic system and nervous system etc healthy and functioning at their optimum. Most of all we create a stable and focused mind.

No prior experience in Pranayama is needed; all levels welcome!

Whereas Pranayama is of great benefit to pregnant women and they are welcome to attend, this workshop will incorporate several techniques, which are not suitable when pregnant. If you are pregnant you will be asked sometimes to rest or repeat a previous pranayama.

Social Distancing and what to bring

We adhere to 4 sqm space per attendee in this workshop. Bolsters and blankets are provided for you to sit comfortably, but please bring a towel or sarong to cover them. You won’t need your yoga mat; a blanket to sit and lie on will be sufficient.
