November 2011

Over the past several workshops, Graeme has given focus to the strengthening, stabilising and alignment of shoulders, hips, knees and spine.
Sunday 27 November - Friday 2 December.
Focus: Preparation for Handstands
Holding handstand is exhilarating, energizing and confidence-building. Developing strength, stability and flexibility of the shoulders and awareness of core activation provides a framework for confidence in inversion and overcoming the fear of falling. The skill of balance requires the interconnectedness of the whole body from fingers to toes; activated but not tense, focused yet relaxed. With a little patience and perseverance every body can experience the joy of handstands.

Graeme and Leonie's teachings always provide key elements of understanding by raising body and breath awareness levels, experiencing the groundedness of core stability and alignment and encouraging people to contact their own sense of inner calm and relaxation.
In these times of environmental, economic and social instability, it becomes more apparent and necessary to stay connected to our inner truth, which isYoga.
