Angelika Knörzer - Director of North Sydney Yoga |
Angelika was drawn to Yoga at the early age of 15 and did a self-taught
practice for some years until starting serious Yoga practice in
1988. She began teaching yoga in 1993. Angelika has studied intensively
in India with Sri K Pattabhi Jois and BKS Iyengar, and completed
a teacher-training program in the Viniyoga method. She studies regularly
with Australias foremost Astanga Yoga teachers. As a dedicated
Astanga Vinyasa Yoga practitioner, Angelika is an inspiring teacher
and guides her students with passion, precision and clarity.

Anneriek Bos |
Anneriek
started Astanga Vinyasa Yoga at North Sydney Yoga in 2001. She has
been assisting and teaching classes since 2002. Despite her busy
professional schedule, Anneriek is very dedicated and committed
to yoga, which allows her to teach intuitively and from the heart.
She encourages her students to learn to be present, aware and balanced,
both in the yoga practice and in every moment of life.

Narelle Hooper |
Narelle has been practising yoga for seventeen years,
starting at this centre and receiving her IYTA teaching certificate
in 1992. Her personal warmth inspires confidence, in both students
who are starting out with yoga, and the more experienced.Her classes
include a focus on meditation and relaxation.

Sarah
began yoga practice in 1996 - it has had a profound effect on her
life. Her teaching is down to earth and aims at making yoga accessible
to everyone.

Kate Hird |
| Kate
started Astanga Vinyasa Yoga at North Sydney Yoga in 2001. Kate
is a Registered Nurse and Midwife with a strong commitment to assisting
people in striving towards health and wellness through yoga. The
asana practice and philosophy of Astanga Vinyasa Yoga is her bliss.
She is passionate about teaching. Her classes are safe, dynamic
and energetically taught, with integrity and humour.

Amanda Choy |
| After
almost 20 years of personal yoga practice, Amanda decided to deepen
her study of yoga by taking on the 3 year teaching apprenticeship
at North Sydney Yoga. Amanda brings a passion for yoga in all its
forms to her teaching and hopes to pass on that passion to her students.

Taryn Pin |
| Taryn
commenced the practice of Astanga Vinyasa Yoga in 2003. A dedicated
and diligent student of yoga, she has completed the three years
of her apprenticeship at North Sydney Yoga.
The practice of yoga has had a profound effect on her life. She
teaches with compassion and sensitivity and with the spirit required
to help others, through yoga.
