Teacher's Profile
Angelika Knoerzer
For Angelika yoga permeates every aspect of her life. She believes that one of the best ways to gain even the slightest understanding of what the vast science and art of yoga has to offer is by practicing daily. Therefore for her, the ongoing study of yoga, especially the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali, have to be combined with day-to-day practice of asanas (postures), pranayama, and meditation, as well as an awareness of how she moves in the world. It is all of this combined, which has changed her life profoundly, and brings ever-increasing joy, daily.
Angelika has taught for 20 years, and her personal practice spans more than 24 years. She encourages students to gently explore and deepen a regular practice at their own pace. With ongoing study and yearly attendance of several workshops and retreats, she has endeavored to keep her teaching fresh, alive, and progressive. Angelika's teaching is said to be clear, compassionate & challenging.
