At North Sydney Yoga, we offer Beginner's Courses in Astanga Vinyasa Yoga

There are two types of Courses offered, Beginners 1 and Beginners 2. Although there are no pre-requisites to Yoga, students new to Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga are encouraged to start with the Beginners 1 Course.

After completion of the Course you can either stay with Beginners 1 or continue the development of your yoga practice with a Beginners 2 Course, or even one of the General Classes or Mysore style. This will depend upon your progress, on which your teacher can advise.

There are several Beginners Course classes offered during the week, each of which runs for 1 hour 15 minutes, over either a 6 or 7 week period.

These Courses are designed to progressively introduce you to the practice of Astanga Vinyasa Yoga.  Each week of the Course has been specifically designed to reveal to you the core components of this type of yoga practice. This allows you to get an introduction to yoga and a basic understanding of the many benefits of this practice, such as increased flexibility, strength and stamina. It is a beautiful way to cleanse the body, relax and gain peace of mind.

If you are completely new to yoga or would like to refresh your practice, you can join one of our Beginners 1 Courses. Many students choose to do several of these Courses, because there is so much to learn.

Astanga Beginners 2 - NEW now also on Saturdays

A progression and deepening of the foundations of the Beginners 1 Course.
This Course allows for progression to the Mysore Style Classes or General Classes.

SPECIAL in 2010 - Add a class per week to your beginners course for only $10

As a SPECIAL offer you are invited to attend any additional class of your choice during your beginners course for ONLY $10, per class.

For this second (or more!) weekly class, you can choose any of our 'Beginners Course' classes, 'General' classes, or 'Mysore' classes.

Immerse yourself in your yoga practice, and after your beginners course together with this extra practice, you will feel amazing changes in your body.

You can just turn up and pay on the day for this additional class.  

 

ONGOING SPECIAL - Introduction to Mysore Style Intensive 

Two classes per week for three weeks;
On successful completion get a 25% discount on any multiple class card purchased within the next week.

Public Holidays

Although there are no 'Course' classes offered on public holidays, you are welcome to attend a General Class on that day.
