Angelika Knoerzer
Angelika was drawn to Yoga at the early age of 15 and did a self-taught practice for some years until starting regular Yoga practice in 1988. She began teaching yoga in 1992. Angelika has studied intensively in India with Sri K Pattabhi Jois and BKS Iyengar, and completed a teacher-training program in the Viniyoga method.
Angelika studies regularly with Australia’s foremost Ashtanga Yoga teachers. As a dedicated Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga practitioner, she is an inspiring teacher and guides her students with passion, precision and clarity. Read about Angelika's profile on this page
Sarah Cairns
Sarah began yoga practice in 1996 - it has had a profound effect on her life. Her teaching is down to earth and aims at making yoga accessible to everyone.
Kate Hird
Kate started Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga at North Sydney Yoga in 2001. Kate is a Registered Nurse and Midwife with a strong commitment to assisting people in striving towards health and wellness through yoga. The asana practice and philosophy of Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga is her bliss. She is passionate about teaching. Her classes are safe, dynamic and energetically taught, with integrity and humour.
Lainie Wymer

Lainie has practiced Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga for 9 years. She has studied at the K Pattabhi Jois Ashtanga Yoga Institute in Mysore, India and has completed a three-year teacher training at North Sydney Yoga. Through a regular yoga practice, she has experienced profound improvements in her health and the quality of her relationships, and hopes to inspire others to do the same. She teaches with enthusiasm, energy and a deep respect for the science of yoga.
Lisa Rippon

Lisa commenced Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga at North Sydney Yoga in 2002. Her daily practice gradually led her to the three-year apprenticeship at the school. Lisa teaches from the heart, with patience and encouragement. She hopes to pass on to others the mental calmness and clarity that yoga has given her, in addition to the physical benefits of a regular asana practice.
Amanda Choy
After almost 20 years of personal yoga practice, Amanda decided to deepen her study of yoga by taking on the 3 year teaching apprenticeship at North Sydney Yoga. Amanda brings a passion for yoga in all its forms to her teaching and hopes to pass on that passion to her students.
